Dallas Cowboys are now at 3-0, with Cooper Rush in 2022 as their triggerman. But the veteran backup knows that the team’s bread is buttered on the other side of the ball.

Rush thanked Dallas’ defense after Sunday’s match. According to ESPN’s Todd Archer: “They’re the reason why we’re winning.”

“They’re the reason we’re winning, it’s just plain and simple,” Rush stated. “Those guys, I mean, 10 points in the NFL is pretty impressive.”

Washington’s passing offense was held to 170 yards by the Cowboys defense. They also intercepted Carson Wentz twice, and then sacked him two more times.

Cooper Rush was able to complete 15 of 27 passes for 223 yards, and two touchdowns.

Rush was able to distribute the ball well during three games, while Dak Prescott is still recovering from thumb surgery.

Dallas is next up Los Angeles Rams, the defending Super Bowl champ.
